Making Plans

Proverbs 16:1-3
1 Man may make plans in his heart, but what the tongue utters is from the LORD.
2 All the ways of a man may be pure in his own eyes, but it is the LORD who proves the spirit.
3 Entrust your works to the LORD, and your plans will succeed.

What does verse 1 mean?
Do you think something before you do or say something.
We can plan all sorts of things, but the final result are still in God's hands. He has the final word.
What does this teach us ? That we need to trust God even though our plans do not turn out exactly what we had in mind

How about verse 2?
Why do all of our ways seem pure/right in our own eyes?
Should we be worried about our motives?
Everyone sets resolution especially at the begening of each year....I set goals and plans too...but are they really plans that are best for you. It is hard for us to fairly evaluate our motives.
Only God sees through us. God may decide not to follow our plans because He understands our motives and knows it would not be best for us.

Is verse 3 an answer to verses 1 and 2?
If you want God to cooperate with you on your plans, if you want success, the best thing to do is to first cooperate with God. You may think that you have the best of motives, but God knows the truth. That is why His plans are better than our plans.

So my dear frens make plans...goals and resolutions...those that are best for you. Always ask yourself do you really need them? Say for example you already own a car Wira maybe) but you plan to buy yourself a BMW this year...Is it because your car now (de "Wira") giving you problems or you just want to look good in your BMW? Are your plans made with good intentions?
